Why typography instead of photos
Most verse graphics use a stock photo of a sunrise with text laid over it. That has three problems: the photo has licence terms, it slows the page down, and it fights the words for attention. A plain typographic card avoids all three — and it doubles as a usable phone wallpaper, which a photo-based image does not.
Sizes
- 1000×1500 (2:3) — Pinterest’s recommended pin size. Images taller than about 1:2.1 get cut off in the feed.
- 1080×1080 (1:1) — square, for Instagram and Facebook.
- 1080×1920 (9:16) — full-screen phone wallpaper.
Attribution
Each image carries a small watermark with the site name. It is the only way someone who sees a reposted image can find their way back — so it is always on, and there is no option to remove it.
